Boyfriend was in bed talking on the phone last night. The bed faces the doorway and then the hallway....................I pretended the hallway was the balance beam like the one the gymnasts use in the Olympics. So I do a couple leg lifts and toe points then jump, stick a landing being sure to raise my arms above my head like the real gymnasts do after dismounting and then sticking their landing.
Boyfriend was watching me but didn't react so I repeated my routine. "What are you doing?" boyfriend asked. "My Olympic balance beam routine." To emphasize, I repeated my leap off the beam, stuck my landing, and took my bow. lol.........................I've never seen boyfriend laugh so hard .........and so loud, while he was on the phone no less.
 He cracked me up. :O) I cracked him up!

We have an appointment today with doctor radiologist, then to the pharmacy, the store and home. Whne we get home I want to cut down some rhubarb like weedy stuff growing next to the deck and cut up a huge tree branch that fell from a neighbors tree and into my backyard.

I woke this morning to thunder and lightening storms. Love it!

Boyfriend  loves good Mexican food, especially green chili.
I've never made it before, never even heard of it until I met him. He eats it when he
visits Colorado.
Today I'm going to make some. Boyfriends sister-in-law sent him her recipe a few years ago. I'll use her recipe but will tweak it a little. We'll see how it turns out!

Last weekend I had a birthday dinner for middle son. After the dinner he sent me a text that read "Thanks for everything mom. You do a lot for people, things that not many people will ever see. Like the neighbor girl. That is amazing and you give her a chance by being a good influence like you were to us. You always made sure we had what we needed no matter how tough it was for you, and I love you for that...The definition of a good person is doing the right thing when no one is looking. You do that....love you."
His message made me teary eyed and it made me want to do more, to be a better person.......and just so grateful for my children.

We have an appointment with the radiologist Tuesday. Boyfriend will start radiation treatment soon after. He will get radiation tx every day for 30 days then will start Opdivo injections. There's a 20-30% chance of cure with the radiation..........Opdivo is supposed to stop the cancer from growing.  The doctor said boyfriends hope for 3 or 4 more years to live is not unreasonable.

Boyfriend and I went to an attorney last week to do our wills.
We should finish them this week or next.

Boyfriend was sitting up on the side of the bed this 3:30 AM. He sometimes has trouble breathing at that time of the day.
 I sat next to him scratching his back and rubbing his head cause I knew it would help him to relax and because I like the way his shaved head feels.
 It didn't take long for him to feel better and to go back to bed.
I couldn't sleep so showered instead and then made some tea and sat out on the porch for awhile.

I've been watching the Olympics this past week.
I've especially enjoyed the swimming.

I went to the bank a couple of days ago to add beneficiaries to an account.
It's a simple task that should have taken 5 minutes.
The guy I was working with began with a very high pressure, aggressive push for me
to invest the way he thought I should. He was relentless.
I reminded him why I was there, 3 times but he ignored me and continued on with his pitch.
I was so angry when I left there. Still it's eating away at me. Asshole.

We had a wonderful night last night celebrating youngest sons birthday. We had good company, funny jokes, good conversation, and great food. It was fun! Company left at 11:30 P. After they left boyfriend and I sat on the porch until 1 AM chit chatting.

We slept well last night.
Didn't do much today. I took a long nap and will probably end up staying up late tonight.
Now I'm watching the Olympics. I love women's gymnastics.

We had the biopsy Tuesday.
It's cancer.
Chemo and surgery are not options.
We isolated, and cried for a couple of days. Now we're doing better.
They sent the specimen to check genetic markers so
they can decide on the best medicine for
this particular cancer.
We see the oncologist Tuesday.
For some reason boyfriend has decided
he'd be happy if the doctor tells him
he can help him to live 4 more years.
So until we talk to the doctor Tuesday we
are hoping for 4 more years.

I'm having a dinner tonight for middle son.
It's his birthday.
I'm making Lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and carrot cake.
I look forward to having both of my sons here at the
same time. Daughter is going to a concert so will not make it to the
dinner. My dad is coming, and boyfriend will be here. It's going to be hot but low humidity.
Hopefully we can have dinner outside.

It's raining, and there's a  breeze. It's a nice reprieve from the heat and humidity that's been hanging around for weeks!
Son stopped by last evening to exchange vehicles with me. Him and his wife are headed to Florida for their honeymoon. They didn't want to drive his pick-up. I'm kind of excited to be driving his truck for awhile.
Boyfriend napped today while I ran errands. The errands only took an hour.
I just don't know what to do with myself while not working. It's a dilemma for me!

tuesday

We went to the oncologist today for PET scan results.

He says boyfriend has an enlarged lymph node that lit up. So he has scheduled boyfriend to have  a bronchoscopy  and biopsy.

I'm not even going to try to fortune tell...........................we will know next Tuesday after the biopsy if it's cancer.

Met a couple of my sisters at dads house tonight. The 3 of us went through boxes and albums of  family pictures to split between the 5 of us...............we will have to go back to finish the job!

That's all......I'm tired and so I'm going to bed!

It's very hot and humid here and will continue to be for the next couple of weeks! I'm looking forward to fall, my favorite time of the year!

Boyfriend had a neck to knee PET scan yesterday.
We will see the oncologist Tuesday.
Hopefully all is well. I suspect and hope it will be.
 No doctor appointments after Tuesday for awhile if the scan is clear.
We'd like to take a trip!

Nothing much going on today.
Boyfriend and I hung around the house. I have a cold. So I've been tired. Mostly I watched TV. I also worked a little on a cookbook I'm putting together for my children for Christmas. I'm including recipes for meals I've made for them as they were growing up. Many of the recipes are ones passed down by my mom.

I'm glad R. Ginsburg said out loud what she thinks about Trump. I wish she hadn't apologize. Like most of us she's concerned for America. She spoke the truth. Too bad more people don't do the same.

This is my neighbors cat, Oreo.  They call her Moo. She's calm, cool, and laid back. I really like her. Every once in a while she'll join me on my porch.

 She likes to stretch out on the roof of my car in the evenings. Makes me laugh when I see her stretched out like this!

I'm sitting on the deck with Mr. Bojangles and Weeping reading the blogs that I read and having some coffee.
Someone in Indiana won the lotto last night. The odds were something like 254 million to one. I would imagine it would feel like some higher power was helping that person to win with the odds being what they were. "Why me?" would seem like a question they'd ask.
No one person should have that much money. I hope it is a group of factory workers that own the ticket!

I spent the morning cleaning my house. I scrubbed floors, cleaned mirrors and TV screens, vacuumed, and dusted. I also did 3 loads of laundry. It's easier to clean when boyfriend is out of town. I don't know why. It just is!  The house looks good!

The car dealer called. They said they cannot find a leak in my air conditioner, it was a little low on coolant, so they added some and they believe it is working fine. He also said it's possible that I have a really small leak that they can't see , bring it back if I have anymore problems with it! And they also did an oil change. I'm glad it's taken care of. Oldest son is going to borrow my car when he goes to Florida this month. I just hope the air doesn't go out on him and his wife.

Middle son stopped over after work and had dinner with me.
I made sloppy joes and corn. I sent him home with some brownies.
It was nice spending a little time with him!

I might watch a movie tonight or work on a painting.

The Powerball and Mega Million lottery have huge jackpots right now. This is when I like to play. I will buy one ticket for each game. It only takes one ticket to win!
I'd just like to make life comfortable for each of my children. And I'd like to be able to quit work for good without having to worry about health insurance!

Today I have to take my car to Honda to have the AC fixed. I've been putting it off because something always seems to come up that stops me from taking it in...........so on our way to the airport (boyfriend is going to Colorado for family stuff) we will drop off the car.

I paid my Cobra today and I ordered middle sons birthday present. I got him a season pass to Perfect North. A place to snow ski in Indiana. He loves to ski...........and so while it isn't Colorado, it's still a place he enjoys!

Work called this morning to see if I could work today.
I just couldn't even though I would have if I didn't have other things I had to take care of!
I did sign up yesterday though to work a day later in the month.

Son picked the Sunflower from his garden and gave it to me. I love it!

Boyfriend bought a bunch of fireworks. We set them off Friday night and they did not disappoint! It was the best fireworks show ever! Son and his wife joined us as did daughter. We grilled, had a few beers, then fireworks. It was fun!
