Daughter wants to get a tattoo.
She's 18 so I can't stop her. I have been trying to talk her out of it.
They're so permanent. Although I hear you can have them removed with laser surgery, but still.
The belly button ring was one thing,,,,,,now a tattoo? Yuck.
Work is going well.
I still like my new assignment, and most of the new staff I work with.
It's a better fit.....all of it.
Daughter wants to take a senior class trip.
I was finally honest with her and told her it's not in the budget.
I wanted so badly to give it to her, but I can't. Too many other financial obligations with her continuing education.
I felt relieved to finally just tell her no.
I texted son the other night asking him if he wanted me to clean his condo the next day while he was at work. He texted back saying "that would be great!" So I texted him back "psych!" He texted back "you suck. lol!" lol. Cracked me up.

We went through the tattoo thing and Linda's daughter has one as well as my youngest daughter. Some things you just can't make them see the light about. I know about not being able to afford everything. Trouble is today's kids seem to think they should have everything that happens no matter what the cost. So different that when we were young. I miss those days.
Odie
I have a tat, did it myself when I was 17, it's a small heart high on my right arm. Tats for the most part should be in discreet places, like a butterfly on her butt.
Considering what they cost these days I think they are money ill spent and show immaturity. But she's not your property anymore so if she wants to put them on her body there isn't much you can do about it.
Tell her that if she can afford a tat that she can afford a field trip, unless she expects you to pay for the tat, that sure as hell wouldn't fly with me.
Belly button ring, yuk.
I never thought of daughter as my property Billy......ever.
Odie, she took the news well about the senior class trip.
I never thought of daughter as my property Billy......ever.
Then I guess you never thought of selling her to the highest bidder, hehehehe

You're bad, Billy!
