Boyfriend bought a new car yesterday.
It's pretty. The On Star is kind of cool.
He's happy with his purchase.
I'm happy for him.
My car is ticking. "tick, tick, tick, tick."
Son says i don't have the right size oil filter on it.
I hope it's really that simple.
I plan on spending most of today outside.
It's supposed to be beautiful weather.
I need to cut my grass and paint some crates son brought me from his work. I plan to use them on the deck as tables. We'll see how they work.
There's an under class man at daughters school whose mother died last year. The girl now lives with a family member who is blind.
This girl plays on the softball team.
No one from her family comes to watch her play.
So daughter does.........the girl scans the stands to check for Ms. Em.......and is thrilled when she sees her. Daughter cheers her on, and pats her on the back.......
I think it's sweet.....makes me proud.

That girl deserves plenty of hugs and kisses. The more you write about her the more I see the quality in her life. You can certainly be proud of her. Hope the repair goes well on you car and enjoy this wonderful weather.

Thanks, Odie!
You have a wonderful weekend too!

Boyfriend must have more money than brains. Oh, I'm sure it's cool, but I know how to live just fine without it and the expense of it.
Son says i don't have the right size oil filter on it.
As a retired master mechanic, I think that son is wrong. But a tick, tick, tick could be the result of not changing the oil when you should.
I've never missed an oil change, Billy......and like you, I think it's something more serious than the oil filter. Boyfriend thinks it's a push rod/lifter.
The On Star is free for a year.
Like you though, I'd never spend my money on it.
I'm not sure if boyfriend will after the free year of service.
Well, I don't know what car and engine you are talking about but most modern engines don't have push rods because they have overhead cams.
It could be a lifter though.
