I just finished reading "A Rip In Heaven" written by Jeanine Cummins. My dad brings me all of his true crime books after he has read them. I think he wants me to read them hoping I'll learn something, anything that might keep me just a little bit safer in this world. I told him several months back to stop bringing them to me because I was sick of reading about crime and our screwed up justice system. And so he stopped until a couple days ago when he brought me the above mentioned book.
I read the book& it was sad, well written, pissed me off, reinforced some of what I think/feel about cops, newspapers and the media in general.......plus so much more.
It looks like American Idol is going to suck this year. There aren't any stand outs.......except maybe for Chris. His look is different, AND he's funny...............so far he's still my favorite....
Boyfriend didn't get me anything for Valentines Day. How can you not get a VD gift or at the very least a VD card for your Valentine? There's really no excuse that would be acceptable......and I know I will sound like a spoiled baby but my feelings really are hurt. I'm worth a 5 minute stop at the store for a card.

Personally, I hate VD. It's so contrived, it makes me sick. But, being in BF mode he is obliged to get you a card at least. Make him pay.
I never minded Valentine's day, not that it was every very special, but now I do. My man and I broke up the night before this year. AGH. Needless to say, Valentine's day was one where I couldnt turn on the tv or read the internet or even TALK to anyone because it was all about LOVE LOVE LOVE. Did you do something for your boyfriend? I am surprised he didn't do anything, not even a card! ACH! Did you say anything? Of COURSE you are worth some sort of recognition, that is all we want as women, no?
Hi Stepping.
I know you're going through a tough time ......keep hanging in there, you're doing good and you have a lot to look forward too even if it doesn't feel that way right now!
I bought boyfriend some sugar free chocolates (he's diabetic) and a card for Valentines Day. Not the most original gift, but it was something!
lol Glenn.
How should I make him pay?
