I went to the doctor today. I like my doctor. I worked with him on and off for 14 years back when I liked being a nurse. So anyway, he comes into the room after I'd been checked in, weighed, vital signs taken and all that stuff.....so he comes in and says "what's up with your blood pressure!?" It was 180/110. That's way high........it's genetic......my dad who walked every night, played tennis 3 days a week and golfed every week had his first heart attack at the ripe old age of 47....his mother died in her 50's from a stroke......it's my own fault.....my pressure was elevated a year ago when I went to see him but I thought I could control it with exercise and didn't take the medicine he had prescribed. Now I get to take 2 different blood pressure medicines and I have strict orders to increase my walks to 4 miles a day, everyday. ........and because my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer my doctor wants me to have a colonoscopy. :O) Oh joy!
I didn't ask him to check the mass on my side because I was afraid he would tell me I was dying. I follow up with him in a few weeks and will have him check it then. The good news is that my cholesterol is normal. Yay!
My birthday was Tuesday. I got lots of goodies including a new table, chairs and table umbrella for the deck from my oldest son. Boyfriend got me the fire pit I've been meaning to buy. I love it! Middle son bought some torches for the yard, and daughter got me a pair of sandles and chocolates. I worked on my birthday. Whne I got home boyfriend and the kids had the yard work done and all the new stuff set up. They even got me a beautiful cake.My parents stopped over and enjoyed the warm sunny evening with us. It was a nice day and I'm greatful for my family.
Boyfriend ended our relationship yesterday. I'm too tired to say much about it right now other than you live, you learn and you get on with it.
And finally, I'm scheduled to have a mammogram this afternoon. Woo-hoo!

Happy(?) Birthday!
Ummm....
Happy Birthday!
At least you got a fire pit out of the deal. Sounds like it could a fair trade to me.
Thanks, Jerry and Glenn!
