Daughters boyfriend left town early this morning to start college life.
He was offered a full ride to four different schools..........in the end he chose Eastern Kentucky University.
Daughter spent last evening hanging out with him.
They said their good-byes.
Her heart is aching a little. But she's also looking forward to starting her new life..........give her a chance and she'll show off her college I.D., schedule, or parking pass even......
Her best friend Mariah, decided to stay here and take the scholarship to Northern Kentucky University rather than The University of Louisville. Daughter is thrilled.
Her other two best friends, "Page 83", and Shay, will be leaving for school in the next several days.
They haven't wasted a minute of their free time this summer. It's been non stop get togethers, and I'm sure a summer to remember.
I love them all, hope they stay safe, and that all their dreams come true.

It is really an emotional time for sure. My coworker who is a sales lady will be getting her "twins" enrolled in college life next week. This mama is going to be an emotional wreck for some time. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

There are lots of emotions tied to getting children settled in schools away from home including the almost adults. Another adjustment they will have to make. Hope the rest of your weekend goes great for you.

Never went to college (until I was an adult), lots of kids go to college and never get useful jobs that serve them well.
I learned useful trades that have served me very well for getting through life.
I wonder how many would go to college if they wasn't getting as much of a free ride.
All their dreams won't come true, like all of our dreams didn't come true, they'll just have to deal with that.
Hey, when I put my mouse in the area of the cats tummy it seems to be farting like a motorboat.
Hi Billy.
I'm happy for the kids who get a free ride. You're right, not many of them would be able to go otherwise.
LOL, Billy. The cat is purring.
Hi, Odie.
I hope your studies are going well, and that you had a nice weekend too!
