sunday

We had a nice Christmas Eve and Christmas.
I enjoyed the time with my family.
My grown children and my dad
joined me and boyfriend on Christmas Eve for dinner and then we
played board games. It was a good night.
 My sisters and their families
met at mom and dad's on Christmas.
It was bittersweet...... Not quite the same without mom.....
I'm relieved it's over.
I plan on putting all the x-mas decorations away today. I'll keep the tree up though
through New Years Day.

I've had the last 4 days off of work.
Boyfriend and I went out for breakfast and then
to the gambling boat yesterday.
It was fun. I won 30 or 40 bucks a few times but gave it back.......waste of money but fun just the same.

I was supposed to meet a realtor early yesterday to look at a house. He stood me up...........the house is a great buy for only 36 grand. It's a cute little brick home, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. It has a great front porch and a very large backyard. The roof and furnace are 2 years old. The rest of the house needs work but could be a doll house. It's in a small, safe, river town close to where oldest son lives. I really want to check it out.

36 grand, anything that cheap here is a piece of crap.

here too, billy.........but this loan is under water (i think that's how they say it)......for whatever reason though the bank is going to let it go for that price rather than wait a year or two on a foreclosure.........it's by no means a mansion....probably needs 15 grand worth of work.....still it's a great deal.

I'm under the impression that a bank can't sell something until after a foreclosure. Or is the so called owner selling it?

Wouldn't cost me 15 grand to fix a place up, I could make Helen's place livable for 1 grand, but I have a lot of stuff and don't count my labor.

the woman who owns the house owes the bank 74 grand.....the bank has agreed to accept 36 g's and take a loss rather than foreclosing

Wait for two years and you'll get it for half the current price.
