It's cold and windy here in Ky but we're supposed to have temps in the 50's and 60's over the next several days. I'm hoping we have some sun shine as well!

I haven't made New Years resolutions the past several years.
I started though on some for the upcoming year several months ago.
I wasn't really thinking of the changes as resolutions, but now I guess I will.
Really I just want to be a nicer, more accepting and less critical of others type of person............but mostly I'd like to reach out to old friends I walked away from and make amends where due. I'd also like to stop allowing my shyness/social anxiety's control my interactions, or lack there of, with others. That's it..............

Boyfriend wants to go to the casino to celebrate the New Year.
Since he is ill I have a difficult time telling him no, or that I don't want to go.
I want him having fun, and feeling good, and thinking about things other than dying..............going is not going to bust the bank.......so really I have no reason not to go other than I'd like to stay in the nice warm house in my nice new pajamas I got for Christmas......and  hang out with the kitties. :O)~  such a dork......

Mr. Bojangles, my kitty, woke me early this morning. He wanted me to fill his food bowl. He sat on my bed side table, his face close to mine, and he meowed until I got out of bed. Weeping my other kitty waited for me in the bathroom to turn the faucet on for her. It's where she likes to drink her water from in the morning. Most of the time she can jump up to the sink. Other times though her shoulder hurts and she can't make it up so I lift her.

I guess I'll pack away Christmas decorations today except for the tree I'll leave up until after the New Year.
I'm also going to make a pot of chili.

Not much going on here.
We made it through the Christmas Holiday.
Boyfriend wanted to get the kids something super special this year, something that will last forever because he figures he wont be around this time next year.. So
he got the boys each a Henry 22 Golden Boy, and daughter a diamond ring.
All of us cried............was a little gut wrenching for me, them too.....got through it and carried on with
our Christmas.............and it was nice,,,,,,,,,,good company, good conversation, good food, good memories!

Boyfriend and I went to the casino over in Indiana day before yesterday.
I took a hundred bucks, made it last all day.
We had a blast! We went to dinner at our steakhouse after we left the casino. We both had soup and salad. It was good!

Both the kitties enjoyed cat nip on Christmas day!

The little girl who visits with her mother the woman who lives next door, stopped over yesterday. She said her mom and her moms friend were getting ready to nap so she asked permission to come to my house.
We baked Christmas cookies, and drank hot chocolate with snowman marshmallows and candy canes in it. She loved it!
I knew she'd be dropping in at some point and put off some of my baking until she did. I bought matching Santa Claus aprons for us to wear while we baked. She thought the aprons were the greatest thing in the world. lol. was so cute.....
We also put bows on the gifts. I taught her how to use scissors (was surprised she didn't know how), and I taught her how to make bows.
Tomorrow  I'm taking her out to dinner and to see the movie Sing. It's something we've had planned for a month. I let her pick the restaurant. She said she's always wanted to  eat steak, that "it looks so good and juicy." So I'm taking her to a steakhouse. She also said she likes how people she see's on TV make a toast before they eat their meals. She was so excited when I told her we would do that! lol

Christmas Eve my children, daughter-in-law, and my dad are coming over for dinner and to open gifts. We'll also probably play penny poker, or a board game. I'm very much looking forward to it!
Christmas me and my family, my four sisters and their families will meet at mom and dads for dinner and other Christmas celebrations. I'm looking forward to that as well!

I worked yesterday.
It was a fun day.
Sundays usually are quiet.
I only had to call one doctor.
It was good to see my work friends.
They had a pot luck.
I didn't bring anything because I didn't know about it.
But still I was invited to join in......it was nice.
I bought my nurse assistants large pickles for Xmas gifts.
I usually pack one as part of my lunch and they always
want me to give it to them. So it's what I bought for them. They loved it. lol

The oncologist said the radiation did shrink boyfriends cancer. Apparently he has several growths in the right lung. Something we didn't know until Friday. So now he says we repeat the scan in 8 weeks,........ monitor them until they start growing and then start the Opdivo. He said we would get approval. Last visit he said we wouldn't get approval until it spread out side the lung. Boyfriend isn't 100% sure he wants to take the Opdivo. I'll support whatever decision he makes.
 We asked about traveling because boyfriend's  afraid to leave town. Afraid something will happen and he won't be close to his doctors if he needs them. The oncologist told him "travel! you should go! GO HAVE FUN! "
I hope we do. We will see....

Today we have a doctor appointment and then we need to go to the store. When we get home I'm going to bake some cookies and make some fudge.

Saturday I met my sisters at dads house. We cleaned and set up what we could for our Christmas celebration there. We put on the Elvis Christmas CD, sang and laughed all at the same time as we cleaned. We had fun.

Monday

So we went to the grocery store today and then out to lunch.
We ate at a Mexican place. I've been craving it.
I had the Fajitas, boyfriend had Tamales. It was so good!
Got home from lunch and put the groceries away, unloaded the dishwasher, and took out the garbage. Boyfriend took a nap. He's worried about his test results and sleeps I think as a way to escape his thoughts.
I put out a few Christmas decorations including my Santa seat covers that I bought at the dollar store for a buck several years ago. They've held up pretty well!
I didn't get the ornaments on the tree yet, and I'm thinking maybe I'll leave it with just the candy canes and red bows.
The table is a mess I know........some of it is Christmas stuff, boyfriends computer, my notebook with my lists written inside of it, candles from Thanksgiving and a cookie jar...........I'll get it all put away eventually!

Mr. Bojangles new favorite place is under the tree. I think he likes the heat from the lights.

I got up early this morning and took a wonderfully hot shower then made myself some cinnamon toast and tea.........pet the kitties, kissed them even..........then started sister bears car so it would be warm when she left for work........the temp here is in the teens with some wind.........very cold! I'm looking forward to the snow!

I signed up to work Dec.18.
I always regret signing up to work until I get there, then it's
not so bad usually.
It feels good facing the holidays without worrying
about having to work Christmas or New Years.
I've been very lucky to be able to take this time off work.

Boyfriend and I went to the eye doctor Monday for routine eye exams.
We both ordered new glasses and I also got a pair of prescription sun glasses. I'm going
to order contact lenses early next year.......... didn't want to take the time to do it now.......
I had a significant change in the vision in my left eye. I've been having difficulty with night driving....and blurry vision in that eye.......it's pretty scary.....was sure I was going blind.lol.......my fault for not having an exam for almost 10 years ....doctor said the new prescription would make a world of difference.....will be glad to get them!

Boyfriend had a neck to knee PET Scan yesterday. We'll have the results in a few days to a week if they post them online before our December 16th appointment with the oncologist.We're both worried........not something you get use to.

I'm finished with my Christmas shopping. Feels good to have it done! I bought the ham yesterday that I will serve for Christmas dinner........and I bought stuff to make Christmas cookies. I'll probably bake them with the little girl who visits the woman next door. It will be fun!

Originally 4 of us were going to go to the cabin in the woods. Then the count changed to 5 of us, then to 3 of us. Final count though is 2. Me and my younger sister are going to go.
I can't wait!

I got my Christmas tree up, but not decorated other than lights. I also put a wreath on the front door. :O)~
  I guess I didn't accomplish very much today.

I'm going to a cabin in the woods this Saturday with my two of my sisters. The plan is to do some hiking, grill some steaks, and just hang out together for a couple of days and a night. I have mixed feelings about going. That's another story in and of itself that I will tell when I have the ambition to do so!

The plan for today is to put up the Christmas tree and hang a few outdoor Christmas lights.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Enjoyed the company of my grown children.
I like listening to the bantering that goes on between them. They crack me up.
Dinner was delicious and the table looked pretty I think.
My youngest sister
had dinner with us. I always enjoy seeing her and wish she lived
closer so that we could hang out more often. She told stories
to my children about me from my much earlier days, some that I would not have shared with them.
My sons were laughing so hard that I couldn't help but to laugh at their laughter.
 Daughter said to me
last night, after company was gone, that she liked hearing those stories.....was glad to
find out her mom had a little bit of a wild side. :O)~
Daughter and I stayed up late watching a movie. It was fun. The whole day was good!

Well the house is clean, the pumpkin pies are baked, and the fruit salad is made and in the refrigerator.
It's raining and cold outside. Thankfully the house is warm. Mr. Bojangles is sitting next to me in my bed.He likes the warmth from my computer. I like when he sits with me.
I'm looking forward to being with my family tomorrow.

 I got my Tulip bulbs planted. So happy to be done with it! Maybe a couple of them will actually bloom this spring!

I have a crock pot full of  beans, onions, and ham chunks cooking for dinner tonight. I'll make some corn bread to go with the soup.  It's very cold here. Hot soup will be good!

I bought a nice turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner. I'm very much looking forward to having my sons and daughter here together, and my dad too. More than anything I think my dad enjoys my sons company.

We might go to a movie today, then head to the grocery to get the rest of the stuff for our Thanksgiving meal.

I cleaned the garage and basement today. Daughter helped so it only took a few  hours. We filled four 45 gallon garbage bags full of stuff. I'm glad to have it gone!

The plumber is coming today to replace the refrigerator ice maker that boyfriend probably broke while "fixing it." I asked boyfriend to stop fixing things! :O)

Some of the time while Mr. Bojangles is sleeping in my bed and as I walk by the bed I bend over
and rest my head on his body and listen to him purr.Then I kiss the little guy. He's so cute to me.

We went to Target last night because boyfriend wanted to buy a new coffee maker. We've been using coffee bags for about a year.There were many many  coffee makers to choose from. He ended up getting a Mr. Coffee single cup brew.

So I cleaned out the hall closet, and the buffet. I also cleaned the bathroom walls and wood work. And finally, I took down the bathroom and hallway light fixtures and cleaned them. Feels good to have it done! All that's left to do is my bedroom closet, and take my comforters to the laundromat to be washed.
I plan on cleaning the basement and garage this Sunday. Daughter said she will help so it shouldn't take too long.
Tomorrow I'm going to the grocery for some of the stuff I need for Thanksgiving day dinner.

Today I worked on  family recipe cook books I'm making for my adult children as one of their Christmas gifts. They're looking pretty good so far!

We left the house early this morning to go to vote.
As we left the house and while I drove to our vote spot I tried to make my choice.
I didn't though so I stared at the ballot
for a couple of minutes while my thoughts raced  as I struggled with my decision.
Finally I made a choice. On the walk to the car I regretted my choice, later I was OK with it.

I worked a 12 hour shift yesterday.
I only had 14 patients. I usually have closer to 24.
So it was a low stress, easy to manage day.
It does me good when I work. It energizes me!

I've been having some pretty bad muscle spasms
mostly in my back when I work a shift. This time
before work, boyfriend rubbed my upper back (that's where I hurt)
with Ben Gay and I took a prescription anti inflammatory the night before and morning
of my shift. I also did some stretching.
It helped.
I had very little discomfort last night.

The plan today is to clean out my hallway closet and my bedroom closet.
I also want to hang a few pictures.
Then all I have left to do to get the house ready for the holidays is wash the living room curtains, and scrub the wood work
in the bathroom.

Weeping, my cat who went missing yesterday showed up on the front porch at  4 AM.
I'm so happy she is home!

I filled out the notice sent to me for me to serve jury duty. I sent it back with  a request to have my service postponed for another 2 years so that I can continue to provide assistance to boyfriend. I didn't send any supporting paper work because the paper work had to be back to them in five days. That time frame did not allow me the time I would need to get papers from the doctors. So we shall see.

I ran into my brother-in-law today at the grocery store. I asked him to take a look at my water heater . The cap was off and the duct work was too long to attach to the cap then place  the cap where it's supposed to be............he came over and rearranged a small piece of duct work with an even smaller piece allowing the cap to be where it's supposed to be................now it's fixed and I can stop worrying about it.

Weeping my Siamese cat has been missing for a few hours. Some of the time she naps in my closet or on a shelf where I keep the sleeping bags in the garage. I checked both places. She's not there. I hope she's OK.

Mostly I've been cleaning and organizing the house.
I cleaned the living and dining room windows yesterday. I also had the carpets cleaned and then put away all the stuff I had stacked on the couch and on the beds. And I cleaned off the dining room table. It was a mess!
I still have a few drawers and a closet to clean/organize.

They're going to install the dishwasher and stove today.
After they leave I plan on patching some areas damaged from where they removed the old counter top, and I need to clean the kitchen windows.

We only had a few trick or treaters last evening. My favorite was Neil, the little boy from across the street. He was dressed as Darth Vader I think. He's a tiny little fellow. I think he's five years old but very petite like his dad so he looks much younger. He's polite and so sweet. I gave to him lots of extra candy.

My tomato plant continues to give me tomatoes. I picked 20 yesterday and have about 50 more on the plant. I also have a nice bell pepper growing.

I finally sanded and painted the kitchen wall. It looks good! Feels good to have the job done!
I gave away my 1950's kitchen table and chairs. It was my sister's mother-in-laws table. I've used it for several years.
 I've rearranged my kitchen so I no longer have room for it. I offered it to my neighbors friend. She had been homeless for the most part for the past 6 months but recently got herself an apartment. She was thrilled to have it!
Today the plumber is coming to add a new water shut off valve and something else that I really am not sure about..........it's boyfriends doing.....................................but after the plumber leaves and after I finish my continuing education to re new my nursing license we are going to take a ride. I want to see the trees at Saint Ann's convent. They're beautiful in the fall!

I scheduled to have my carpets and air ducts cleaned, called Lowes to tell them the plumber has never called to schedule installation of my dish washer and stove, and went to the doctor today for a routine visit.
I got a flu shot today,and a tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis vaccine. I feel really tired, and I have a headache from the 2nd vaccine. I just want to crawl under my warm blankets and sleep. Maybe I'll get the kitchen wall sanded and painted tomorrow!

I think boyfriend broke the ice maker  on the new refrigerator while trying to fix it. :O) The repairman is coming to fix it today.
I just made some french toast.
I can't get good french toast in a restaurant.  It's  always under cooked, the batter is all wrong,  and it usually has too much cinnamon.
Refrigerator man just called. He had to reschedule because his guy called off work. I wish I was a handy person!

I might sand and then paint the kitchen wall today. I just don't know!

So Abraham was killed last night on the season premiere of The Walking Dead. "Suck my nuts" were his last words just after and before Negan crushed his skull with a barb wired wrapped baseball bat...................it was hard to watch..........daughter screamed when Glenn was killed. It was all a little too violent for my taste!

We went to see the oncologist  yesterday.
Our insurance did not approve the Opdivo.
They say there is no documentation to support its effectiveness
in non metastatic cancer, and they also said no because we do not yet know if
the radiation was effective. It's 24,000 bucks for one dose of the Opdivo. He would need a dose every 2 or 3 weeks forever I guess. Who can pay that out of pocket?
So now it's kind of a waiting game.........waiting for a pet scan to be done in 7 weeks to see if the radiation did its job, if not then waiting for the cancer to metastasize. Chemo is an option if the cancer is still there but boyfriend told the doctor absolutely not.\\

I may or may not sand and paint the kitchen wall
today.

We had bad storms here last evening.  The lightening looked like a fireworks show. It was great. We had hail the size of soft balls and strong winds.
 Mr. Bojangles is afraid of storms with thunder.So he hid under the bed for most of the evening.I felt sorry for him!
We've had cold rain and a breeze most of today too, and some thunder. Boyfriend and I stayed in the bed and watched TV most of the day.
 We see the oncologist tomorrow. They have him scheduled for 45 minutes with the doctor and then a 2 hour appointment in the chemotherapy room. I suspect they will educate us about Opdivo and give boyfriend his first dose. But I'm not sure.

We have a dental appointment today.
Maybe after the appointment I will sand and paint the kitchen wall. :O) Maybe!

Called Lowe's this morning re the install of my new range and dishwasher. The coordinator of my project is incompetent. She has never returned a call, ever. I talked to another person today and have everything scheduled now..........................................................I made my purchase late August, early September and it's just now been scheduled for delivery/installation no thanks to "Ladonna."

My neighbor who lives up the street from me always has the best garbage. I got a really cute dresser from her garbage once, cleaned, painted it and sister bear used it for most of her childhood. I also got the really adorable wood bench with cast iron animal cut outs. They cleaned out their garage/basement yesterday. They have a pretty nice stair climber on the curb and several nice sheets of  dry wall. They also have a childs bike  and a chair. I don't need any of it, and don't want to store any of it because I have enough stuff in my basement and garage. I do wish someone would come and get that bike. There's nothing wrong with it!

We had a wonderful night last night, boyfriend and I.
We built a fire in the backyard fire pit.
 The weather was perfectly cool and the sky was clear.
 Mostly we just sat together
under the stars, holding hands and talking.
The kitties were at our side ( our Weeping and daughters Co-Co) except for Mr. Bojangles
who was in my bed on my pillow sleeping. (He's so spoiled.)
It was nice.
I love him, boyfriend.
He talks about dying and  about my life
after his death.
Mostly he talks about how grateful
he is for the life he has and has had.
I don't like to think about life without him.
It makes me feel incredibly sad, and afraid.
I try my best to push those feelings aside and think I
will deal with them when I have to.
For now I just try to be grateful, and enjoy the company
of my love, my best friend.

It's beautiful again outside today. Clear and sunny skies with a slight breeze.
I need to weed the garden I made for my mom in my backyard, and I have a few other chores in the yard. I also have a bunch of tulip bulbs to bury. It might still be too early. I'll have to read the instructions on the bag.

 Dad just called about a open house close by but in another city. Dad says it has a very pretty view from the back of the house that over looks Cincinnati skylight. I might run over to see it.

I gave boyfriend a hair cut and trimmed his eyebrows. It's easy to cut his hair. Mostly I just shave his head. It looks good!
Boyfriend ripped a toenail off the other night. We aren't sure how. We noticed a large amount of blood on the floor next to his bed and a bloody footprint from his bed to the front porch. Investigated and found his nail was gone. So I've been nursing that for him. It looks wicked but better today than yesterday! Our house looked like a crime scene!
Also, boyfriend began coughing up blood yesterday. He has never had this happen before along this road of lung cancer. Our hope is that it's due to the irritation from the radiation treatments. He will see the oncologist this coming week.
I changed the bed sheets today, and have a load of laundry in the dryer and in the washer. My goal is to get the kitchen wall sanded and painted. We shall see.

Donald Trump grosses me out. I think he's an idiot incapable of seeing the value of women other than for his own sexual desires. He's disgusting. He's a pig.I believe he thinks all men think the same way he does. Many do I'm sure, especially men from his generation, and pimps.
 He should not be president.

Got up early this morning and had some pumpkin spice coffee on the front porch while I talked on the phone with my BFF work friend. It was nice catching up with her!
I miss the routine of going to work each work day.

I'm supposed to report to jury duty in Dec. I think and serve Jan. through March. I was excused for a year last year due to boyfriends illness. It's something I've always wanted to do, but not so much now. I'm hoping they will excuse me again.

SO Lowe's delivered my new refrigerator doors today, and they hung them. They were a day early, again. It's annoying but not that a big of a deal.

We went to the grocery today.
We bought corn beef brisket. I'm going to cook it then make Rubens tomorrow.

I also bought a cute autumn table cloth and 2 books. "The Girl On The Train" by Paula Hawkins is one of the books. I've been seeing previews to the movie and it looks good but I know I will like the book better. So I will read it before I watch the movie. I also bought "All Dressed In White" by Mary Higgins Clark. I like her books. They're easy reads and entertaining.

I'm procrastinating when it comes to painting the part of the kitchen that needs painted. I figure I'll get to it when my back is against the wall.

We had a super nice time last night at oldest son's house. He has the sweetest dog I've ever met. The dog loves boyfriend. Sat in front of him, at his feet almost the whole time we were there. It was cute!

We didn't do much today. Boyfriend worked on the refrig. ice maker. He's been tinkering with it for a few days. It was working fine until he began working on it.........now not so much!

Sister bear (daughter) had supper out with friends. Boyfriend isn't feeling so good and didn't want supper so I grilled myself and Mr. Bojangles a burger. We ate  together on the deck.

My sister called me today to ask if I wanted to take a walk with her. So we took a walk down by the lake by my mom and dad's house. That was it.......we walked, took a little ride, then I came home.

I am looking forward to tonight's debate for entertainment purposes only................it's a sad, pathetic, frustrating election year......

We celebrated boyfriends last radiation treatment day before yesterday by going to the casino in Indiana and then out to dinner. Even though the both of us are a little scared that radiation is over we still wanted to celebrate! We're scared because we don't know what will happen next. We wonder did the radiation kill the cancer. If not then we know the Opdivo is our last hope, the end of the line. We tried to put our concerns and fears aside to celebrate and have fun......................AND
 even though we didn't win any big money, it was fun!
 After a   day of gambling we went to our favorite steakhouse and had the best garden salad you'll ever have and juicy, delicious, baby back ribs.

Today I puttied some holes in my kitchen wall left by screws from cabinets that son removed yesterday. I also cleaned those same walls. They were filthy!

Tonight we are headed to oldest sons home to have a beer and build a bon fire.......daughter and her friends are going to be there as well...................it's a beautiful day here, perfect fall like weather for a fire!

I walk while boyfriend gets his radiation treatment.
While I walk I toss a few pennies in the parking lot.
I see a lot of people going in the building to get their chemo therapy or their radiation treatment for cancer. I figure some of them are superstitious. So when they find a penny it might give
them a little hope.................and even if it's just for that  moment they feel hopeful or
lucky, then it's a good moment..................I just wish there was something I could do for all these people.

I'm almost finished with my kitchen. Yesterday evening I scrubbed the cabinet frames........today I'm going to remove a cabinet broom closet so that the frig fits in the kitchen the way it's supposed to ( I should have measured!).........and then I need to patch some screw holes, do a little painting, and scrub the floor and woodwork...................maybe I'm not almost finished! Son will be here Friday to hang my cabinet doors..........................hopefully the new counter top and other new appliances will be installed in a week or so..........................

Lowes delivered our refrigerator yesterday. They weren't supposed to deliver it until the 13th. But there they were! They scratched the frig doors while bringing it into the house so they will be bring new doors. It's a side by side and I really like it......so much easier to reach things and to take stock......

We went to the casino yesterday.
Had a great time. Spent way too much money, boyfriends treat.
Was there for 8 hours. It was a nice distraction. I wish we could do it again today!

Daughter vacuumed, straightened the house, and took out
the garbage while we were gone.
It was a pleasant surprise to come home to.


I have to give the kitties a flea treatment today.
My cats hate flea medication. I have to wait until they are in a deep sleep
to get it on them.

Nothing much going on..........went to radiation, walked while boyfriend received his treatment..........came home.........boyfriend is suffering from pretty bad fatigue from the tx's so I made him rest.........he's lost 6 pounds the past week.........so I cooked chicken and dumplings while he napped...they should go down easy with his sore throat.........and I have ice cream for him to snack on tonight..................
that's it........nothing else going on............

Monday

We're up and getting ready for radiation.
But first I had to take the old vanity, sink, and oven hood to the curb for the garbage man. I also had .to clean some trash that the coons drug to the side yard.

After radiation we are headed to the city building to add my name to the title of boyfriends car and camper. It's what the attorney told him to do rather than will it to me.I told him it's premature to do it now, but it's weighing on his mind and he wants to get it taken care of.

It's supposed to be in the mid 70's all week with low humidity. Like most of this past summer it's been in the 90's and very humid. I'm looking forward to the nice weather!

Cincinnati Bengals are playing Denver Broncos today.
There's always bantering that goes on between boyfriends family in Colorado and my family here when our teams play each other...............I think it's funny!

I cleaned my kitchen cabinets today. I ended up using oven cleaner to cut through the grease that was on them and then Dawn dish liquid. They still look old but at least they are clean!
I also painted the kitchen cabinet hinges. They look great!

I have all but one load of laundry washed. Boyfriend folded all the towels and wash cloths. It was a big help! I hate to fold laundry!

I'm making Johnny Marzetti and toss salad for supper.
I'm using my moms recipe.
I had two huge green bell peppers from my garden that I'm using in the Johnny Marzetti, and tomatoes from the garden for the salad. It tastes better when you grow it yourself I think!

Son put up the new range hood and bathroom vanity today. He also helped me remove all the kitchen cabinet doors. I washed all the hinges to the doors and have them drying outside. I'll paint the hinges tomorrow and wash the dirty, filthy cabinets.
My kitchen counter and table are covered with crap from drawers and cabinets. So is my dining room table and buffet. It's a major mess that makes me feel overwhelmed.

It's open enrollment for insurance. I had to make changes.................so I got that out of the way tonight and set up monthly auto pays for my Cobra. I'm glad to have it taken care of. It was weighing on my nerves!

Knowing my checkbook wasn't balanced was also stressing me out.........so I finally took care of that chore. I'm so glad to have it off my back!

Lastly I wrote the code enforcer about my neighbors yard. The grass hasn't been cut for 6 weeks and since they refuse to close the lid on their garbage can, and since they litter, there's trash on the curb and in their yard.
I'm tired of looking at it.

I worked a 12 hour shift this past Sunday.
I dreaded going in but once I got there
I remember thinking how much I love nursing.
I found myself thinking "Why did I think this was so bad.
I love this." Then hour 9 or 10 rolled around and I found myself thinking "what were you thinking? why did you sign up for this?"

I needed 20 new handles for my kitchen cabinets and 30 new hinges. They were way more expensive than I thought they would be. I bought the cheapest handles I could find in the finish I wanted and decided to wash and then paint my old hinges!

We have to leave for radiation in 40 minutes. I still have to shower!
There was a guy who was getting chemo the same time as boyfriend..........he looked
so ill, so run down,..............I've wondered about him......how he was doing.............then the other day I saw him walking laps at a shopping center. He looked like a new man......he looked good..........made me feel so happy.

I have to go to Lowe's today to buy new hardware for the kitchen cabinets.
Sons going to replace the old hardware next week. He took my old range hood off yesterday and damaged a small spot on the wall. So he patched it and will hang the new hood when he works on my cabinets.

I scheduled myself to work tomorrow.
I wouldn't dread it so much if it wasn't a 12 hour shift.
But it is, and so I do!

Not much going on here.
We go to radiation treatment everyday.
Boyfriend is having difficulty and painful swallowing
from the treatments. The doctor said it will get worse before it gets better.

We'd like to go to Florida for a few weeks in November if we can get through all the post radiation
doctors appointments by the end of October........probably not...........but maybe!

I finally got a letter from our new Cobra plan administrator. It's all good!

The counter top guy was here this morning at 6:30 to take measurements. I can't wait to get it installed!

We have to leave here in half an hour to go to radiation treatment number 11. After his treatment today we are headed to Lowe's to get a new range hood and bathroom vanity. Boyfriend fell in the bathroom about a year ago. When he fell he busted the doors on the vanity that's in there now.....

I got a check in the mail the other day from the administrator of my Cobra plan with a letter saying my employer had been voided from the system. The check was a refund for payment for the next 5 months. I've called my HR, corporate headquarters, and the other company who handles our benefits. No one knows whats going on............called the place that handles (or was handling) our Cobra and they said we have a new plan administrator and that my work should have notified me. Problem is my HR lady, and our corporate office are unaware of the change.....................................no one knows what I should do if anything.... ....it's just such an annoying and frustrating burp in the road.......I hate this type of thing.......................... mostly I worry about my healthcare coverage...........

boyfriend had his 5th radiation treatment today.
i wait outside while he has his treatment.
i've had my life time fill of medical facilities.
i do go in with him though if we are getting a report of some sort, if it's a new doctor,
or if he is having a surgical procedure.
while he gets his treatment i walk laps in the parking lot.

we went to Lowe's after radiation.
i ordered a counter top for my kitchen and new appliances. i threw my dish washer away a couple years ago and didn't replace it, my refrigerator is way to big for my kitchen, and my stove has seen better days. i'm tired of looking at it!

Daughter and I went out Sunday to a late breakfast , then did a little shopping.
Her birthday was the day before. She worked on her birthday then went out with friends. I didn't feel like planning and preparing a family gathering to celebrate, so the two of us hung out for awhile. It was fun. While driving we saw two horses on the side of the road getting ready to do the dirty, so I pulled over to watch. I was curious. Daughter was like "no mom! it's none of our business! Give them their privacy!" lol.

So I made the green chili a week or so ago. It turned out to be delicious. I froze half of it and will use it to make Mexican hamburgers.

Boyfriends had the CT scan needed to mark his torso so that they know where to adm. the radiation. He will go in one more time to have those markings rechecked before radiation treatments are started. Hopefully they will begin his treatments next week. It irritates me that they don't seem to feel the urgency we feel to get things going!

Boyfriend and I went out to dinner last night. He had ribs and I had prime rib. It was good!

We went to the attorneys office Monday and signed off on our wills. Feels good to have it taken care of......................the attorney was winking at me when boyfriend wasn't looking. He was an odd duck.

I headed outside to to remove the Rhubarb looking weed stuff growing up against my deck. They were gone! The guy who does the lawn must have removed them. Yay!
